Umbria is well-known for it a number of things: olive groves, vineyards, hecaters of woods and many rivers, but also for its fine art, beautiful architecture, castles and churches.
Visit the mideaval cities of Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Orvieto and Spoleto and be amazed by the works of art by famous artists like Giotto en Piero della Franscesca en de Umbrische schilder Pietro Vannucci (who was Rafaels teacher).
Cities & small towns
Casa San Carlo overlooks Umbria and Tuscany, so if you drive down our hill you literally cross the border from the one region into the other. This means that not only Umbria is there to be discovered by you, but also lovely Tuscan villages like Montepulciano and Pienza are only a short trip away. Even world famous Siena is only an hour drive from us, and a day trip to Florence is also possible (1,5 hour drive or 2 hour train trip). Be amazed by the Renaissance art or take bath in the hot water springs of the village of San Casciano dei Bagni or Chianciano Terme.
