Casa San Carlo is located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany and has been a popular holiday address for all kinds of guests, of all ages and in all kinds of compositions for 18 years. In addition, it is a beautiful wedding location for bridal couples, the ultimate place to relax for yoga practitioners, a home for wine lovers and an inspiring backdrop for photographers. In Casa San Carlo, everyone immediately feels 'at home in Umbria'.

Casa San Carlo has 6 very spacious apartments and a smaller detached house. The view is truly impressive: everyone who walks onto our terrace is immediately impressed by our unique place. You look out over the beautiful oval swimming pool, and over the valley with the surrounding villages. All the ingredients for a wonderful stay are available! Take a refreshing dip in the pool, go out to discover Umbria with its nature, lakes, picturesque villages and culturally rich cities. Enjoy Italian cuisine with us, bake a crispy pizza in our wood oven and taste one of the delicious Umbrian wines from our selection.

We are Klaartje and Torben Heerze-te Winkel, the owners and landlords of Casa San Carlo. In February 2008 we emigrated to beautiful Umbria from the Dutch Randstad. Since then, we have been receiving guests at our beautiful place. We host and hostess all kinds of guests: individual holidaymakers, groups of family and friends and the participants of our annual 'Specials'. Such as Yoga Retreats, a Masterclass Portrait Photography and our special Wine Food Weekends. In addition, as a wedding planner, Klaartje organizes several weddings a year in Casa San Carlo, and Torben is a purchase and renovation consultant for people who are also looking for a (second) home in Umbria. We have also been exporting delicious Umbrian and Tuscan wines and our own Extra Virgin olive oil to the Netherlands and Belgium for 15 years, through our Casa San Carlo webshop.

GROUP RENTALS AND OUR ANNUAL Specials

In addition to individual seasonal guests, we also receive all kinds of groups of guests at Casa San Carlo; Guests who want to celebrate a big family anniversary together, for example, or a group of befriended families who want to spend their holidays together... They then rent the entire Casa San Carlo and we take care of the catering and organization of their activities during their stay in Casa on request.

In addition, every year we organize some fixed 'Specials' for people who are interested in a specific type of holiday or who want to follow a course. For example, what do you think of our wonderful Yoga Holiday or the unique Masterclass Portrait Photography? Or join us on Wine Food Weekend, right through the vineyards, past various wineries!
